New Camera

We got a new camera for Christmas (thanks Mom). It's a Pentax K100D. We already had a 35mm Pentax film SLR for which we had 3 lenses so it was natural to stay with the Pentax so we could utilize the lenses. I went to purchase it from one of the local camera places, but when I showed them that I could get it MUCH MUCH cheaper online, they would not even talk to me so I bought it online. We got it on Wednesday this week. Since I have been busy all week, I haven't had a chance to really use it yet. I took this picture with the 100-300mm lens we already had. I don't know why, but I really like this picture. Whenever we are just playing with the camera, Chip always seems to be our subject.

Linda picked up a head cold this week. That really sucks since she has trouble breathing anyway and now she can't breath through her nose. On top of that, she can't take anything for it. I feel helpless because I can't do anything for her. Hopefully this will pass quickly. She has been taking it easy the last few days, although taking it easy for her means that she goes to work, continues to run this house and tries to sneak a nap in. It's pretty hard to keep her down. That's why I love her so much.
