Matt & Theresa Tie the Knot

What a weekend. The wedding festivities were 3 nights long and one day of recovery. Thursday we started with the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner. We had a good time at dinner. Everyone was getting geared up for the wedding and for the baseball game the following day. Friday we went to watch the Brewer’s beat up on our beloved Cardinals. It wasn’t pretty. We met up a Kilroy’s, ducked inside to get out of the rain and then went on in to the stadium. It poured for about an hour between the third and fourth inning. That made the game that much longer. Linda and I had to give up before the end of the game. We wanted to save some energy for Saturday. So Saturday finally got here. Theresa was beautiful. The ceremony went flawlessly and we now have Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Maher. From the wedding to the reception, pictures at Glen Eco, beer and finger sandwiches while we passed the afternoon into early evening. After Timmy gave the best man speech (good job Tim) and Marry shared a few words (equally as well Marry), I got the chance to show off my beautiful wife on the dance floor. I’m sure we looked like fools, but that’s what you are supposed to do at a wedding. The reception flew by, dancing and drinking, having a great time. Next we knew everyone was gone and we were once again the last ones at the place. We caught a cab with Marry, Tim, Brooke, Adam, Brandi and John Henry back to the Marriot. Most everyone went directly to bed but the Maher’s and I wandered around the hotel looking for the after party. We couldn’t find one nor could we get one going so we ended up in the hotel bar. Mr. Grate bought a round of beer and then they kicked us out. That’s when I called it quits. The next morning was rough. Neither Linda nor I wanted to move. But we had to. We had a little one waiting for us to pick her up from Grandma’s. As we got ready to go we realized I didn’t have my tux coat nor our camera. Back to Glen Eco we went but it wasn’t there. After we got home Timmy called and let us know he had the coat and camera. SWEET! We had already chalked them up to being left in the cab and figured they were gone. Sunday was spent laying on the couch and being pretty lethargic. Linda and I had a great time. It was a beautiful wedding and we thank Matt and Theresa for letting us be a part of their day.
