Fourth of July

Savannah got to experience her first Fourth of July holiday this past week (as though it could be during a different week). We didn’t do all that much. Neither Linda nor I were off except on the fourth, so we didn’t have any big trips or anything. We were supposed to go over to Alan & Melanie’s Third of July party, but someone was completely fussy because she had been getting up at 3:30 in the morning. Instead we hung out here at the house and made it an early night. Then on the actual Fourth of July we went down on Kingshighway here in St. Charles and watched the St. Charles Fourth of July parade. Grandma and Grandpa Huster were down there as well so they sat with us. That afternoon we went over to Linda’s Aunt and Uncle’s for barbeque and visiting with her other cousins, nieces, nephew, aunts and uncles. Then on Thursday night Linda went out with Jen and Grandma Denison brought dinner over for us and we watched the baseball game in HD. That new place at Lady Di’s makes some good pizza. Nothing is going on this weekend. I worked on the boat earlier today and Savannah played in her activity center. The boat is getting to that stage where there is always something I could fix on it. The VHF antennae, the trim gage, the horns, all the wiring, the radio, you name it, it could be better. Not that it doesn’t work right now, you may just have to push here, or turn it off and back on, to get it going. However, we can start it with the key now. I replaced the starter solenoid today. Well, we are getting ready to go get daddy a new pair of shoes, and on to Target. Big day, big day. If we have time we may swing by Bed, Bath and Beyond.
