Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Linda, Savannah and I had a really nice Thanksgiving over at my cousin Bob & Barbara’s home. Or as Savannah says it “Bobby home, this Bobby home Daddy”. The triplets are cute as buttons. Max is doing really well after his surgery. They each have their own little personalities. Claire has the cutest little round face. She reminds Linda and I of Addison (another friend’s little girl). Max is strong and likes being vertical. Charlie is the trouble maker. Well, not really, but he wants to be mobile. He scoots and rocks and tries to get to where he wants. Of course I don’t want to forget about Bobby. He and Savannah played together and he was kind enough to share his toys with Savannah. While they were playing the Vogels were busy cooking and preparing a huge Thanksgiving feast for all of us. Barbra and Bob made 2 turkeys that were just perfect. Then there was all the trimmings. Green bean casserole, corn, carrots, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, mashed potatoes, cranberries, corn casserole, rolls and I’m sure I’m missing something. I really didn’t need a second plate, but it’s Thanksgiving and you are supposed to be miserable after dinner. After dinner we played “Apples to Apples” which sounded a bit strange, but turned out to be a lot of fun. Then it was time for pie. Mmmmmmmmmmmm… pie. Linda made 3 pies for our dessert. One chocolate, one apple and you can’t leave out an old fashioned pumpkin pie. Cindy also brought over an organic pumpkin pie. I had to have one piece of each, and then I was miserable again. Linda and I wanted to send a thank you out to Bob and Barbara for hosting the Thanksgiving Day feast and having us all over. We truly enjoyed it. The only family members missing were Chuck and Shelli’s gang. Hopefully we can get together with them soon too! Tonight we’re going over to the Stille’s for Great-Grandma Wehmeyer’s 89th birthday.

For some reason I screwed these photos up. When you look at the large size photos, they are fuzzy. So, please go to our Picasa Online Photo Gallery to see the large photos. They are under Thanksgiving 2008.
