WOW! It’s been nearly a month since we updated the blog. We must apologize for that. No real excuses, just plum tuckered out when we get the opportunity to update the blog and usually choose to close our eyes instead. So, what have the Denison’s been up to in the last month? We have continued to work on Mom’s house. Working to get it cleaned out and preparing to sell. But more importantly, we have been preparing for someone’s second birthday. She is very excited to get her cupcakes at Miss Jen’s house on Monday.

A little more excited than getting her own Nemo cake with Mommy and Daddy. Oh well! With the cold weather this past month, we have been playing inside a lot. Savannah loves to play Dress Up. Here she is wearing Mommy’s shoes and her tiara sporting a magic wand as an accessory. Be careful, she will turn you into a frog! And what makes a better

toy than Mommy’s laundry basket. It’s just about the right size for the little one to crawl inside and cover up. What a nut. She MUST get this from her Mother. I know this couldn’t come from me! Of course you cannot play inside without having a Tea Party. She’ll get her blanket out and set up each “guy” just right then pour everyone a glass.

“That’s a bit too hot” so she’ll blow on each cup to cool it off. It’s amazing how that little imagination works. Her other new thing is to have you (or in this case, Care Bear) to be the Airplane while she holds you up in the air. Then she will “drop” you like Daddy drops here when she is the Airplane. What fun we have when we have to play inside.

Then there is the fun of playing in the snow. When we got our 6-1/4” of the wonderful white powder, we all went out in the backyard for Savannah’s first sled ride. In preparation for this big adventure, we had to make sure Savannah had plenty of clothes on. Yeah, like the kind on A Christmas Story, she couldn’t get herself up when she fell over, but she was warm! We had to pull Mommy’s sled from the rafters, but it worked just right. We got to make about 3 trips down the little hill in the backyard before we had

to move on to make snow angles. You cannot play outside in the snow without making snow angles! But, after all the excitement of playing outside, someone started to get a bit cold and we moved back inside to warm up. I think she takes after her Mommy in that regard. Neither one of them enjoys anything that has anything to do with being the least

bit cold. I’ll sign off here for now. I know we’ll have some more pics after her birthday, so stay tuned!
