The May Update...

Another month has passed, and we haven't updated the blog. However, we really haven't done much in the past month. After Easter we have pretty much just worked around the house and Savannah has enjoyed playing outside. We went over to Tom & Amy's for their daughter's first birthday and then the following weekend we were in Bloomington for Erin's first communion. I went on a fishing trip the first weekend of May with the guys from the bowling team. We didn't catch much. It was just a trip up to Mark Twain for some crappie fishing. Last weekend we spent Mother's Day here at home. We went by Mom & Dad's marker's and put flowers on them for Mom. Even Savannah put a flower in for Grandma Denison. Then Les and I made dinner for Mary Ann, Linda and Great Grandma Wehmeyer. It was a pretty good meal, even if I say so myself. Funny story; the other night I was getting Savannah ready for bed and we were getting ready to brush her teeth and there was a loud clap of thunder. Savannah looked at me and said "Grandma Denison is bowling." It was very cute, and I thought she had come up with it on her own, but Linda may have had something to do with it as Savannah constantly asks "What's that?". In lieu of "That's the angels bowling", it got modified, but I thought it was very appropriate. This weekend is the St. Peter Parish Picnic. Yesterday morning Savannah, Alan and I did a little fishing on the river and then last night we got a baby sitter and Linda and I got to go up to the beer garden at church. It was fun getting to visit with everyone. Linda worked up there this morning making the dressing for dinner. After Savannah's nap this afternoon we'll go up as a family and ride the rides and have dinner with everyone. That's the update on the Denison house. Before I sign off, I have to send out a Congratulations to my cousin Amanda. This past week she graduated from the Missouri State University. CONGRATULATIONS AMANDA! We are all very proud of her.
