More Summer Fun

Time to play catch up again! We've been having a few computer issues again, but I think they are all worked out!! Our summer continued with a lot more fun stuff! We enjoyed another annual chicken fry at Great Grandma Huster's the middle of August. Just about the entire family was there and it was another good time. Savannah had a great time playing with all the other kids. Grandpa Huster had his own fun by giving all the kids tractor rides! Of course our child was not going near the tractor except for on Grandpa's lap...good thing he was the driver!!!! This was of course after Grandpa and Uncle Roger fried up some VERY YUMMY chicken!! If you went home hungry, that was your own fault! Great Grandma also had a piƱata for all the kids to enjoy and it was a great time for all the kids. After tummies were full, a mean game of wiffle ball from the boys, a little talk started about reliving a childhood game of flag war. It was decided to play the in-laws versus the outlaws and it was just like we were ten again!! Although we did have to explain a few things to the married in kids and of course they bailed on the game early, but it was a very good time and we are looking for a rematch soon!!!! Maybe after the muscles have gotten back to normal for all us thirty somethings who acted like ten year olds for an evening!! The day after was spent relaxing on the sandbar with the Douglas family. Cole and Savannah had a great time being the little fish that they are. Mya was a little unsure of the water, but she had a good time playing in the sand. Our little fish Savannah spent so much time in both the sand and the water. She is sure getting braver and braver since the beginning of the summer and absolutely LOVES the water! Savannah sure makes her daddy proud being the little river rat that she is! And who knew that this little princess would also love rolling in the sand as much as she does! Well that sums up that weekend. Other than that, we have been busy doing the usual. We had quite an amazing last week when Savannah decided that diapers were not for her anymore and had been going on the big girl potty ever since! We are so proud of her and amazed at how much she has seemed to grow up over the past few months! Now we are heading into fall, hoping this one is not as eventful as the last. Savannah is already talking about Halloween and getting the candy from the neighbor's houses. Her little memory is another source of amazement everyday. We are so very lucky to have such an amazing little girl to keep us on our toes!!
