So the summer heat has begun! Gotta love that St. Louis summer weather! This week Savannah got to experience “swimming” on Thursday after she got home from the sitter’s. We filled up the pool, put on her suit and she enjoyed some summertime fun! At first she was not sure what mommy was doing to her with the swimming suit and gathering some toys to bring outside, but no
worries, she got the hang of it real soon and HAD A BALL!!!! Of course the sunglasses stayed on the whole time and she just splashed and splashed and splashed. When all was said and done and it was time to go back inside, mommy was as wet as she was! We can’t wait for many more days in the “pool” and if it would EVER stop raining and the river would go down, well then Miss
Savannah can experience the joy of the river and we hope that happens much sooner than later! It’s been a busy weekend so far; we took a day trip to Bloomington today for Ryan’s birthday and had a great time. Savannah loved playing with Erin’s babies and she learned how to give those babies of her own even more TLC! (That was before bath #2 for the day from playing in the dirt,
those pics to come soon when we get them!) And we certainly lucked out with this easy going child, who didn’t seem to mind the 6 hours in the car today, but then again, she had to keep Grandma entertained the whole way there! And on a side note, not that we want summer to end anytime soon, but we did purchase tickets for Savannah’s first Mizzou game this fall! She is sure excited about all the great things to come her way in the coming weeks and months!

Oh my god, that first picture is awesome!! Frame-worthy even! Too cute - you'll have to come over and hang out in our adopted pool one day, take swimming to the next level!
