Well, it’s been another week! Last weekend, we held true to our word. On Saturday we worked hard around the house, but then found some time to take Savannah to Lyon’s for the first time and then also some time at the park. As much as she loved the swings, she loved playing in the rocks a whole lot more! We are not sure who had more fun, Savannah or the dog, but it was a
good day all in all. Prior to going to on her little field trip, Savannah decided that a nap wasn’t really in the cards and ended up helping mommy plant some flowers. Although we didn’t get any pictures, take our word for it, she was covered head to toe in dirt, but loved every single second of it! Then on Sunday we went to the church picnic and Savannah had a BLAST!!! There was no carousel and she was too short to ride the other rides, but did that deter our little one from having
fun?? NO way!!!!! The German in her was strong that day and she had a BLAST dancing to the polka band playing outside the parish center. She had a great time and enjoyed the sucker from Mary the most! As Tom and Amy joined us for the fun and left Claire in the hands of Aunt Linda and the grandparent’s while they went to ride rides with Will and Jack, Savannah did not enjoy mommy’s attention to Miss Claire as she promptly pointed to the stroller when mommy was holding Claire, as if to say, I am your child mommy, not her!! Oh well, a good time was has by all.
This week was about the same all in all. Miss Savannah gave up the high chair and is now in her big girl chair at the table with mommy and daddy. It really is surprising how much she grows everyday before our eyes! And now it is Memorial Day weekend. We really want to get the boat out, but sadly the river is too high still, but there will be plenty of time for that in the months to
come! Last night Savannah got to spend the night with grandma and grandpa while mommy and daddy went to a wedding. Cameron’s friend Matt form SIUE got married and it was a great day! Although it was an outside wedding, the bad weather held off during the ceremony. We had a blast to say the least and those pictures will not be posted anytime soon! Then today we went to
a BBQ at Alan and Melanie’s and had a good time. Savannah had a ball begging people for food and mommy and daddy enjoyed another night out. Daddy and Alan are getting ready for Canada and would leave today if given the chance. Mommy and Melanie are getting ready to be a single mom for ten days! All in all, life is good. Not much else to report, but we hope everyone had a great holiday weekend and we do thank all those who are, or who have served our country, you deserve MUCH more than just a one day holiday! Here’s to a great start of the summer and can’t wait to see what the next few months bring our way!
