Spring Has Begun

WOW, it’s been a little while again since the last update! Or it’s just that we are staying pretty darn busy these days! First off, we have to congratulate Tom and Amy on their newest addition to the family, Miss Claire Olivia was born Thursday night and Savannah is sure excited to have another cousin to play with! Things are sure changing for Savannah, as we had to say a sad good-bye to her sitter June, who has watched her since she was three months old. We wish June the best in her new endeavors and Savannah is getting adjusted quite nicely to Miss Jenny and the other kids she sees every day! As far at the pictures go, the first is the little one exploring a box of Kleenex that we left out while mom had to leave the room to change the laundry. How exciting for Savannah to grab one and another comes popping out right behind it!! She sure had fun and at least she had the good sense to also try to wipe the table clean with each new Kleenex. Savannah also enjoyed watching Opening Day for the Cardinal’s, wearing her new duds that Grandma Denison brought back from Spring Training. She is hoping to go and see a game in person this year and spend all of Daddy’s money on new Cardinal gear! We spent another Saturday afternoon with Savannah’s future Mizzou roommate, Addison Butler at Queeney Park, while their daddy’s were at a bachelor party. They are sure making lots of plans to cheer in a winning team, eat lots of pizza and of course, get a little studying done! And now we are just enjoying the nice weather that is coming our way, hoping that the earth stops moving enough for the Jimmy Buffett concert this week! Savannah is looking VERY forward to spending the night at her grandparent’s, so mommy and daddy can enjoy the concert. It’s been a VERY long eight years since we last saw him live and we couldn’t be more EXCITED!! We may post come pics from the night, but on the other hand, those might have to stay under wraps!!

Last Sunday Kristin, Addison and Nathan came out to St. Charles to see Miss Savannah and have some dinner. We grilled some pork steaks and the girls played together and continued their discussion of the future plans to attend Mizzou. Over the past week we didn’t do all that much. I went skiing with some friends on Wednesday night, after work. Savannah went to see the doctor just to get her toofers and a funny cough checked out. She is fine, but is up to 18 POUNDS! She is our little fatty. Last night we went up to Craig and Sarah’s for Beau and Luke’s 3rd and 1st birthday party. They had a bouncy inflatable for the kids to play in and a huge spread of food. We got to visit with Sarah, Rob, Olivia and Isabella. We haven’t seen them for a while so it was nice to catch up with them. Brad, Marcie, Cole and Lilly were also there. Lilly is just cute as a button and Cole, well if he can drive it, ride it or push it down a hill, that’s what he is going to do. He is your typical boy, and is getting into everything. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Today we are going out to Bob and Barbra’s for Bobby’s first birthday. We’ll have pictures from that later today or tomorrow so be sure to check back!

What a Day

May might have been a big month, but today was a big day. Daddy went to participate in the Dragon Boat races at Creve Coeur Park with work. They won first place and had 2 of the fastest times. While Daddy was playing with work friends, Mom and Savannah went to visit their good friends Kristin and Addison. Addison and Savannah planned their college years at Mizzou together so they can be roommates just like their mommies were. They also exchanged fashion tips as Savannah really liked Addison’s stylish bows. After the trip to Fenton, Grandma D came over and we all road out to meet Daddy’s Cousins Chuck, Shelli, Amanda and Drew for Drew’s graduation party. Her other cousin Bobby was there too! Bobby's got about 6 months on Savannah, but they will have lots of fun causing mischief at family events and barbeques. By the time we got home this evening, it was lights out for Savannah, and mom and dad won’t be far behind her.
